A Positive outlook on Physical, Mental and spiritual health
Prior to coming to Teen Challenge, many of our clients have neglected their health and as a result, the 12-month program gives them the opportunity to restore their physical bodies as well as their mind, soul and spirit.
Sports and recreation programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills.
Many of our residents make use of our onsite gyms, pool and outdoor recreational facilities to participate in individual and group activities such as ice hockey, road hockey, football, swimming, basketball, baseball, soccer, weight lifting and cross country running. Taking part in these sports is an important part of the students’ rehabilitation.
